***The buildings look much better since the advent of Sweet Auburn Works, photos taken a few years ago.
It focuses on Auburn Avenue in 1949 where Dr. King (1929-1968) developed his early consciousness and when Sweet Auburn and the adjacent Atlanta University Center were growing deep roots, helping create the local and global Civil Rights Movement.
